The easiest way to check and review any stimulus payments you received is by creating or logging in to your online IRS account. This will show any direct payments or additional funds you may have claimed through the Rebate Recovery Credit.
You can also check your records. The IRS sent out notices in the mail for each stimulus payment, which you may have received and kept. Alternatively, you can check your bank account for deposits from the IRS. You can also find your stimulus payment amounts on line 30 of your 1040 tax form for 2020 and 2021.
There were three total stimulus payments sent out from the federal government — two in 2020 and one in 2021 (though you may have received payments as late as 2022). The amounts for each payment were:
- Stimulus one - Up to $1,200 per tax filer; up to $500 for each qualifying dependent
- Stimulus two - Up to $600 per tax filer; up to $600 for each qualifying dependent
- Stimulus three - Up to $1,400 per tax filer; up to $1,400 for each qualifying dependent
Income thresholds varied by stimulus check. Depending on how much you made, you may have received a partial payment or may have been ineligible for one or more of these payments.
