How do I get my Form 1099-DIV?

Banks and financial institutions have until January 31st to mail out your 1099-DIV. If your broker is putting together a consolidated 1099 statement on your behalf, they have until February 14 to mail out this form. You may also be able to download your 1099-DIV or consolidated statement if your institution provides you with online access to this form.

If by mid to late February you have not yet received your 1099, we recommend you check with your bank or financial institution.

The IRS also has an option to get a transcript of this documentation, but it may not be available during the standard filing period. More information can be found here.
