Why did I receive an e-file rejection code?

If you receive a rejection code, it’s likely because the IRS found an error on your e-filed tax return.

E-filed returns can be corrected and resubmitted if you made a mistake in entering certain information. Reasons for a rejection can include but are not limited to:

  • Incorrect Social Security Number (SSN) or Identification Number

  • Incorrect date of birth

  • Incorrect AGI

  • Name does not match the name on the Social Security card

  • A form was omitted

  • Someone else used your, your spouse's, or your dependent's Social Security number to file their return

What steps do I take to fix the filing if filing with Beem?

You'll need to log back in to Beem and fix the error. Once you have corrected the error, you can resubmit your filing.
