How do I get my Form W-2?

Employers have until January 31st to mail out your W-2. You may also be available to download your W-2 if your employer provides you with online access to this form (such as in an online HR or payroll portal).

If by mid to late February you have not yet received your W-2, we recommend you check with your employer. Whether or not you’re with the same employer, the best option is to reach out to the employer’s HR department or payroll provider to request your W-2.

The IRS also has an option to get a transcript of this documentation, but it may not be available during the standard filing period. More information can be found here.
